Peer Ontario Learning and Recovery Institute
Hope & Me Peer Ontario Learning and Recovery Institute is proud to launch its first program under the Hope & Me WRAP Foundations TrainingProgram: WRAP Level II.
Hope & Me is committed to following the full fidelity requirements and foundational standards established by Advocates for Human Potential (AHP) and WRAP Inc. Our WRAP programming, training, and facilitator development pathways are delivered in alignment with these guidelines to ensure quality, consistency, and integrity across all levels of WRAP in Ontario and Canada.
WRAP® Foundations Training
WRAP Foundations is the core training stream within Hope & Me’s WRAP Learning Pathway. It introduces participants to the essential principles, values, and practices of Wellness Recovery Action Planning, creating a strong base for personal wellness and future facilitator development. The Foundations stream emphasizes self‑determination, hope, personal responsibility, and the power of peer support, while ensuring all learning aligns with the fidelity standards established by AHP and WRAP Inc.
What WRAP Foundations Includes
WRAP Level I — Personal WRAP development, core concepts, and foundational wellness tools.
WRAP Level II — Advanced skill‑building for those interested in facilitation, leadership, and deeper WRAP practice.
Apprenticeship & Mentoring Pathway — Supported opportunities for graduates to lead their first WRAP groups within Hope & Me programming.
Why It Matters
WRAP Foundations ensures that every participant—whether they are building their own wellness plan or preparing to facilitate—receives consistent, high‑quality, peer‑led training rooted in evidence‑based WRAP principles.
Apprenticeship and Mentoring Pathway for WRAP Graduates
The Apprenticeship and Mentoring Pathway offers WRAP graduates a supported opportunity to lead their first WRAP group within Hope & Me programming. This pathway pairs new facilitators with experienced WRAP mentors who provide guidance, co‑facilitation support, and reflective feedback. Graduates gain hands‑on experience, deepen their facilitation skills, and build confidence while delivering WRAP in a safe, structured, and peer‑led environment. The pathway strengthens our facilitator community and ensures high‑quality, recovery‑oriented WRAP programming across Ontario.
Key Elements six months after training
- Mentorship — Graduates are matched with trained WRAP facilitators who offer coaching, modelling, and debriefing.
- Co‑facilitation — Apprentices lead one co-hort and selected portions of a WRAP group while receiving real‑time support virtual or in person
- Skill development — Focus on pacing, group engagement, safety, and trauma‑informed facilitation.
- Reflective practice — Guided reflection after each session to integrate learning and strengthen confidence.
- Pathway to independence — Graduates progress toward independently facilitating WRAP group within Hope & Me.
