The CHOICE–D (CANMAT Health Options for Integrated Care and Empowerment in Depression) guide (Second Edition) was co-developed with individuals who have lived experience of depression, for those currently living with depression. Written in accessible language, our goal is to empower individuals to understand their treatment options and actively participate in discussions with healthcare providers.
This second edition was revised with input from the CAN-BIND Community Advisory Committee and Hope+Me. These updated clinical guidelines, which included patient partners in its development, were structured into eight main topics covering the patient care journey from initial assessment through acute treatment to maintenance.
