Volunteer With Us
Volunteers are the backbone of what we do at Hope + Me. Many of the activities, events, programs and projects we organize are successful because of people like you. Your diversity in experience has a profound impact on our participants.
By becoming a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to meet new people, make new friends, and play a part in having a big impact on people’s lives. We robustly train our volunteers to help individuals as needed.

Some Of Our Volunteer Roles Are:
Telephone Information and Peer Support (TIPS) Volunteer
We provide a warm and friendly ear to individuals who are all in for support through their diagnosis.

Group Facilitators
Our group facilitators coordinate and lead our peer support groups across Ontario. They are invaluable in helping to create the safe spaces our participants look for. We provide the necessary Peer Support Training required to become a facilitator.

Community Engagement Committee
Members of this committee help create invigorating display material, engaging activities, and conduct our community events around the province. This role requires additional research and attendance at various events to review the impact on the community.

Peer Talk Volunteer
We have speakers who use their lived experience with mental illness to present their stories to audiences around the province. These volunteers meet regularly to help improve their presentations and gain confidence.

Administration
We cannot do the work we do without the support of our volunteers. Working at our Hope + Me office in Toronto, our volunteers provide work on data collection, program evaluation, desktop publishing, database maintenance, and creating and editing materials used by the organization.
